What We Believe

We believe in the Holy Scripture. The Writings of the Old and New Testaments as the inerrant infallible Word of God, verbally inspired in all parts and therefore altogether sufficient as our only infallible and authoritative rule of faith and practice.

(1)  God’s word helps us to live – Matthew 4:4

We can make it on physical substance, but not only that, we need the Word of God to give up spiritual substance as well. – Matthew 4:4

In the book of John, Chapter 10 – Verse 10, Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”  We can only experience this abundant life if we live by His Word.

(2)     God’s word will last – Isaiah 40:8

We live in a world where things are constantly changing, nothing and no one seems to remain the same.  Isn’t it good to know that in this midst of a changing world, that we see something that will not fade, change, nor go away!  That something is God’s Word.  It is powerful – Hebrews 4:12, it is precious – II Peter 1:4, and it is permanent – Luke 16:16.

(3) The church belongs to God (Acts 20:28), so it is only right that we govern it by His Word.

We believe that the Word of God can and will make a difference in our lives and in our living.  When we say Word of God, it is important that you understand that we refer not only to the Written Word (the Bible), but also to the Living Word (Jesus Christ). John 1:1 & John 1:14.

For Jesus is Lord of this church, it is “In Him we move and have our being.” – Acts 17:28
